The Opportunity 

Cycle Pharmaceuticals is looking for an enthusiastic and talented team player to join its growing Marketing Department as a Senior Global Marketing Communications Associate.

The ideal candidate will play an integral part of the studio team within Marketing and will help promote and maximise the profitability of our products by supporting the development and implementation of Cycle’s Marketing plans around the world to drive business objectives.

This role interacts internally with key areas such as Regulatory, Medical Affairs and Compliance, Cycle Vita, Finance, Project Management, Supply Chain and Regional Sales Teams (for teams US and UK based). Externally this position interacts with local or regional distributors, HCPs, Patient Groups, communication and other external agencies retained to partner Cycle.

The Cambridge team is relatively small but highly dynamic, and the work environment is representative of an expanding company, hence requiring an adaptive and pragmatic mindset. Coaching and mentoring to support continuous learning and professional development will be provided and tailored to individual needs.

These three areas of focus are underpinned by formulation technology – using new drug delivery technologies to improve the efficacy and effectiveness of drugs, allowing us to give patients greater freedom and choice.

Job Title: Senior Global Marketing Communications Associate

Position Summary: This is a full-time position within the Marketing department, working in our Cambridge office.

What you will be doing
•Copywrite marketing material for new brand launches, including press releases, brochures for healthcare providers and patients, flyers etc.
•Update/edit existing marketing materials for internal and external use.

Social media
Manage the brand social media accounts.
• Create engaging posts across all the brands and corporate media channels using branded marketing material for content ideas as well as own ideas from research and team collaboration.
• Work with the Cycle Vita team to create engaging copy for hard-to-reach groups and patients.
• Provide proactive solutions to increase HCP, patient, and carer engagement across all social media channels.
• Lead the engagement with followers on the corporate channels to increase interaction.

• Manage and write engaging content, keeping the websites up to date and on brand.
• Create new websites in line with the launch of a new brand working with our web development agency and the marketing team.
• Assist the marketing team to ensure all existing and new group websites meet accessibility requirements and any issues are addressed.

General marketing and department responsibilities
• Manage the marketing communications plan working with Cycle teams to ensure effective communication on our digital channels and internal/external communications.
• Identify and make recommendations for new methods of communication, whilst ensuring continuous development of existing channels.
• Support Marketing Communications Manager in developing and improving procedures and processes used by the wider department.
• Collaborate with the marketing team on Brand Creation.
• Proactively respond to media requests including crisis marketing.
• Ensure project delivery to time and budget, in line with department KPIs.
• Confidently represent the department on cross-functional project teams, contributing to discussions on tasks and timelines and relay information back to the wider department.
• Understand and support the review/approval process for all marketing material including 2253 FDA submission of material before use.
• Act as a mentor to junior colleagues and support the creation of an environment in which people are encouraged and able to model positive behaviours around collaboration and communication.

What will enable you to thrive
The following skills and experience will be important in helping set you up to succeed and thrive in this role:
• Academic Degree, Marketing Qualification CIM/CAM, or relevant pharmaceutical industry experience.
• 5 years marketing experience, ideally with a background in pharma, biopharma, medical devices, or healthcare.
• Good scientific knowledge and agility in learning about new pharmaceutical products.
• Excellent written and oral communication, with the ability to create content that requires little or no editing.
• Quality-focused with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a proactive and autonomous manner, as well as being part of a team.
• Ability to create and maintain strong working relationships across the organisation and with external partners.
• Excellent time management skills with ability to deliver against target dates.
• Enthusiastic and self-starter ability to work unsupervised.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to think outside the box.
• Ability to analyse and interpret market data.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft office (Excel/Word/Outlook/PowerPoint)

The following skills and experience would be an advantage to this role:
• Hootsuite or similar social media planning software.
• Veeva PromoMats.
• Experience of working with multiple social and digital channels.
• WordPress or similar platform.
• Canva, Adobe Creative Suite – InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop.
• Experience of working within regulated environment (ABPI or similar).
• FDA/US experience
