Job Title:             Commercial Launch  Manager

Reports to:         Head of Operations – US

Location:             Boston, MA with local remote availability.  With the current COVID-19 travel restrictions and lockdowns in certain areas of the country, we may require you to work from home for all or part of the week.


Position Summary:  Cycle Pharmaceuticals is seeking an experienced commercial product launch project manager to provide project leadership as Cycle prepares to launch several rare disease products over the next six to 12 months.  This critical role will be strongly involved with the design, launch, and commercial readiness of these key products launches.  This involves leading the projects and keeping collaborative departments on track to meet key milestones.  In addition, you will create and measure (KPIs) and lead integration projects to work closely with all other internal and external stakeholders. This candidate will work in a highly visible, strong team environment to ensure launch success.



Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee several key product launch projects in various rare diseases
  • Sets the vision for and drives proactive solutions that enhance the launch plan/strategy’s performance and impact in the US market
  • Communicate and collaborate on appropriate product/portfolio strategies, plans and presentations
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to keep the projects on track
  • Manage timelines, budgets and resource scheduling needed to deliver new or enhanced systems and capabilities
  • Manage all reporting, both standardized and ad-hoc
  • Lead commercial project activities related to, but not limited to:
    • Sales strategy, customer segmentation
    • Sales CRM set up
    • Marketing strategy, tactics and collateral
    • Market Access
    • Medical Strategy and programs
  • Prepare and facilitate regular launch planning meetings
  • Hold other departments accountable to tight project launch timelines
  • Proactively anticipating and identifying potential issues; implementing solutions, proposing corrective actions in areas relevant to the role
  • Ensure all aspects of the program’s success are implemented and addressed


Basic Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 5 years+ project and/or product experience working in biotech/pharmaceutical industry
  • Familiarity with change management and the ability to identify best options based on business need
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for internal and external customers
  • Ability to effectively plan, prioritize, execute on business deliverables
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional partners (sales, market access, marketing, regulatory, compliance)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced, deadline driven, entrepreneurial environment
  • Operates with a high sense of urgency and can be agile to meet organizational needs quickly
  • Ability to multitask, problem solve and work independently
  • Individual must possess and portray strong emotional resilience
  • Individual must possess extraordinary positive attitude, exceptional listening skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and applications
  • Manage travel, as needed based on project or business needs (approximately 30-50%)


Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

  • Marketing product launch experience in biotech/pharmaceutical industry
  • Rare disease experience
  • Advanced degree in relevant discipline
  • Experience with such applications as Veeva CRM suite, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or other Commercial apps
