Job Title: Global Marketing Communications Associate

Reports To:                       Global Marketing Manager

Position Summary: This full-time position within the Marketing department, will report to the Global Marketing Manager and will help promote and maximise the profitability of our products by supporting the development and implementation of Cycle’s Marketing plans around the world to drive business objectives.

Job Interactions & Interface:

This role interacts internally with key areas such as Regulatory, Medical Affairs and Compliance, the Hub, Finance, Project Management, Supply Chain and Regional Sales Teams (for teams US and UK based). Externally this position interacts with local or regional distributors, HCPs, Patient Groups, communication and other external agencies retained to partner Cycle.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Full management, including development and maintenance, of social media accounts – developing content and delivering digital communications and social media campaigns, with an ability to demonstrate and present on the impact of those campaigns through analysis. Working with our inhouse graphic designer to bring the copy to life.
  • Take ownership of the annual marketing communications plan working with the patient support Hub, HR and other Cycle teams to ensure effective communication, i.e. YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter.
  • Ability to identify new methods of communicating, and develop existing routes, with different audiences including hard to reach groups and use digital platforms to engage with our followers in the most effective way.
  • Copywriting and editing information sheets, brochures, safety information, press releases and other forms of marketing materials for patients and HCPs.
  • Recall, initiation and progression of materials in line with the relevant review and approval processes in Veeva Vault Promo Mats.
  • Liaise within the key areas of the business including the executive leadership team, Regulatory, Medical Affairs and Compliance, the Hub, Finance, Legal and HR, Project Management, Supply Chain and Regional Sales Teams (for teams US and UK based) to respond to marketing requests in a timely manner.
  • Supports the delivery of multichannel activities e.g. translations, websites, email campaigns, event materials for conferences/exhibitions/advisory boards, print advertising and digital/hard copy promotional items for the cross functional team.
  • Assist in the collation of data to produce monthly reports for the management team.
  • Ensure assigned projects are on time and budget and delivered according to plan and in line with department KPIs.
  • Supports Head of Investor Relations with production and management of key business messaging, and management of social media in this area.

Qualifications & Skills:

Key Qualifications:

  • Academic Degree, Marketing Qualification CIM/CAM or relevant pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years marketing experience, with a background in pharma, biopharma, medical devices, or healthcare.
  • Good scientific knowledge and agility in learning about new pharmaceutical products and technologies.
  • Very strong written and communication skills in English. Able to create content that requires little or no editing.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks, outstanding project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret market data.
  • Able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced constantly evolving environment.
  • Curious, flexible and a self-starter.

  • Experience of working with multiple social and digital channels
  • Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/Outlook/PowerPoint)
  • WordPress
  • Adobe Creative Suite – InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop
  • Experience of working within regulated environment (ABPI or similar)
  • A second EU language at bilingual level desirable but not essential
  • Experience working with global, cross-cultural teams

The role will be based in our new Cambridge office but some travel to attend meetings may be required.
